Wire marking, or “hot stamping”, is the process of marking the wire with numbers, letters or symbols used for identifying location, origin and destination or function. This process adds to the ease of initial assembly as well as the ease of assembly for the harness installation into its intended equipment. This also brings value to trouble shooting manuals that OEM’s provide with their equipment. Lot numbers or serial numbers can also be included in this process as a means of traceability.
Our wire cutting equipment has hot stamp equipment integrated in and can mark one end of the wire, both ends or continous marking at any interval.
